This masterclass offers a wide range of opera, lied and musical.

For the second time DUOS will be invited to Masterclass „Presentation and vocal technique" – for Singer & Pianist. Repertoire at will. In this master class, the participants are not only trained in singing techniques, but also intensively deal with the interpretation of the selected piece and valuable tips in acting and stage presentation are also offered.

Pianist Prof. Eric Schneider was already at the "International HUGO WOLF COMPETITION for SONG ART in STUTTGART" winners in 1987 and 1990.

konrad jarnot 2 thumbKonrad Jarnot is one of the most sought after new generation singers. Since winning first prize at the ARD Music Competition in Munich he has appeared in all the world’s major concert halls (New York’s Lincoln Center, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Vienna Konzerthaus, London’s Wigmore Hall, Cité de la Musique in Paris, Frankfurt’s Alte Oper, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, Tokyo’s Opera City Hall) and opera houses (the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden, Madrid’s Teatro Real, Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels). He works regularly with the great conductors (Riccardo Chailly, Antonio Pappano, Marek Janowski, Jésus López-Cobos, Pinchas Steinberg, Jonathan Nott, Ulf Schirmer, Marcello Viotti, Phillippe Herreweghe), pianists (Hartmut Höll, Irwin Gage, Helmut Deutsch), orchestras (Israel Philharmonic, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Royal Concertgebouw, Orchestre National de France, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra etc.) and choirs (RIAS Chamber Choir, Collegium Vocale of Ghent). In addition he has been guest performer at major festivals (Schleswig Holstein Music Festival, Rheingau Music Festival, Schwetzinger Festival, Ludwigsburg Castle Festival, Beethovenfest in Bonn). Konrad Jarnot is currently working as a professor at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Dusseldorf.


Eric Schneider ThumbHailing from the Bergische Land, Eric Schneider studied piano and mathematics. At the age of 22 he was at the Musikhochschule Köln and he passed the matriculation examination with distinction artistic. After first competitive prices and recitalist, he opted for a postgraduate course in Lied interpretation with Hartmut Holl. Pioneering impetus for his career he received from pianist Bruno Leonardo Gelber, Paul Badura-Skoda and Alfred Brendel and of Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. In the 90's he studied with Rolf Reuter at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" conducting.
With singers such as Matthias Goerne, Christine Schaefer, Christiane Oelze and Anna Prohaska, Eric Schneider combines for many years an intensive collaboration. The most recent publications were "Apparition": songs of Henry Purcell and George Crumb with Christine Schäfer, "Wanderers Nachtlied", a song by Franz Schubert in a recording with Matthias Goerne, and in the DGG "Behind the Lines" with Anna Prohaska.
Since some time, Eric Schneider turns again to solo performances. Ultimately, he was successful recitals at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, at the Kissinger Sommer and the Ruhr Piano Festival. His latest solo CD contains works by Leoš Janáček, Ludwig van Beethoven and Robert Schumann. Since 2009 he is teaching at the University of Arts in Berlin.
